CSTR Affixed in Nanling National Park Candidate Area

2025-12-25

Recently, South China Botanical Garden Herbarium team completed the first field assignment in the Nanling National Park Candidate Area, where they affixed CSTR codes to rare and endangered plants. By scanning the QR codes on plant identification tags via the "BioGrid" application, investigators can achieve long-term tracking and regular follow-up visits to the labeled plants. This initiative facilitates the cross-temporal, cross-spatial, and cross-personnel collection and correlation of monitoring data from different periods. In the future, CSTR will continue to support the development of biodiversity entity resources, providing a solid foundation for the full lifecycle management of plant resources, the integration of scientific data, and the in-depth exploration of their value. This work was carried out with technical support from the CSTR Identification Platform in collaboration with the South China National Botanical Garden.
